fixing fail, iPhone edition

Apple exchanged my broken, wigged out 4GB iPhone for a brand new 8GB iPhone.

My problems with the iPhone are covered in the previous post. I went to the Apple Store Cambridgeside and spoke with a genius and she said that I could exchange the 4GB for the same model. The store was out of the 4GB until the next day so she offered to reserve a phone in NYC or somewhere in Boston.

I declined and asked if we could speak to the manager since I needed a phone immediately and everyone was friendly about the situation. After a few minutes the manager took care of everything and opened a brand new 8GB iPhone package before my eyes and went to the backrom to set it up. I lost some data (pictures, notes, SMS) but the new iPhone feels faster, more solid and better put together. I am stunned at the helpfulness of Apple’s customer service. Easily, the most outstanding customer service experience I have ever had.
