The Candy Shop

Madonna’s sugar is raw. Did you know that? I do. I have Hard Candy.

It’s a good pop album, the lyrics are catchy and Pharrel and Timbaland produced most of the rhythmic beats. However, I noticed that Madonna is running a Candy Shop. I don’t know if Madonna or Pharrel are aware of this but 50 Cent also has a Candy Shop. There can only be one.

While Madonna offers a “one stop candy shop” for “everything,” 50 Cent will “take you to the candy shop” and “let you lick the lollipop.” Fiddy also empowers Olivia, his featured singer, with some encouragement; “Go ‘head girl, don’t you stop. Keep going ‘til you hit the spot.”

Madonna teases instead of using directives offering “plenty to eat” because her “sugar is sweet.” Confusingly, she also has a “turkish delight baby” which sounds like it might be not as sweet as Olivia’s “taste of what I got.”

Despite this, kudos should go to Madonna for offering “raw sugar” as opposed to the processed sugar in lollipops (hey 50, ever hear of Splenda?). In this health conscious world its nice to see super-star artists offering unprocessed sweets. But in my opinion, Christina can teach Madonna a little something something about candy. Madonna may have written a book about Sex but Christina knows a candy man who “is a one stop shop, (that) makes the panties drop.”

Madonna, you can do better. Remember when you were like a virgin?
